Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - July 15, 1991 Page - 23 - PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) Flo Walker-Lopez, 2136 - 102nd Avenue, Oakland, said she was in favor of the convenience store because in Oakland they are dealing drugs at the stores and people in San Leandro need a place to shop in their neighborhoods. Merl Pethan, the property owner, said the designation of a market with delicatessen and liquor sales had been deleted as a permitted use and requested that this use be added back into the Conditions of Approval . Mr. Rugg said this would be no problem. Mr. Pethan said he would like the widest variety of uses included in the Conditions of Approval without going back to the Redevelopment Agency. There being no further comments from the public, on motion of Council Member Polvorosa, seconded by Council Member Corbett, and carried unanimously, the Public Hearing was closed. The following Minute Order was then introduced: MINUTE ORDER NO. 91-64 (1009) MATTER OF PD-90-1 (1ST MODIFICATION) MOTION APPROVING MODIFICATIONS TO CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL AND APPROVAL OF PD-90-1 On motion by Council Member Santos who moved its approval , seconded by Council Member Faria and carried by the following called vote, the City Council approved the modification to the Conditions of Approval for PD-90-1, as recommended by the Planning Commission, with the following amendment to the Conditions of Approval : The City Council reinserted, as a permitted use, "Market with delicatessen and liquor sales. " AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; Mayor Karp ( 7 ) NOES: None ( 0 ) ABSENT: None ( 0 )
