Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - July 15, 1991 Page - 23 - <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> Flo Walker-Lopez, 2136 - 102nd Avenue, Oakland, said she was in favor <br /> of the convenience store because in Oakland they are dealing drugs at <br /> the stores and people in San Leandro need a place to shop in their <br /> neighborhoods. <br /> Merl Pethan, the property owner, said the designation of a market with <br /> delicatessen and liquor sales had been deleted as a permitted use and <br /> requested that this use be added back into the Conditions of Approval . <br /> Mr. Rugg said this would be no problem. Mr. Pethan said he would like <br /> the widest variety of uses included in the Conditions of Approval <br /> without going back to the Redevelopment Agency. <br /> There being no further comments from the public, on motion of Council <br /> Member Polvorosa, seconded by Council Member Corbett, and carried <br /> unanimously, the Public Hearing was closed. <br /> The following Minute Order was then introduced: <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 91-64 (1009) <br /> MATTER OF PD-90-1 (1ST MODIFICATION) <br /> MOTION APPROVING MODIFICATIONS TO CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL <br /> AND APPROVAL OF PD-90-1 <br /> On motion by Council Member Santos who moved its approval , seconded by Council <br /> Member Faria and carried by the following called vote, the City Council approved <br /> the modification to the Conditions of Approval for PD-90-1, as recommended by <br /> the Planning Commission, with the following amendment to the Conditions of <br /> Approval : The City Council reinserted, as a permitted use, "Market with <br /> delicatessen and liquor sales. " <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br />
