Letter from Florence Ruha, 3475 Anza Way, Opposing the Addition of Another <br /> Fast-Food Restaurant at the Corner of Washington Avenue and Lewelling <br /> Boulevard. The City Council said that standards are needed for fast-food <br /> restaurants to provide a clear definition related to the type of restaurant, <br /> inventories, and traffic impact. The letter was referred to the Planning <br /> Commission and staff was directed to include these matters in the Planning <br /> Commission's consideration when this proposed development is presented to <br /> the Planning Commission at Public Hearing. <br /> e. Letter from Florence Ruha, President of Floresta Homeowners Association, <br /> Inc. , Opposing Proposal to Modify Expiration Dates of Board and Commission <br /> Terms to Run Concurrently with the Term of the City Council Member Appointing <br /> Them. The letter was noted. <br /> f. Letter from Mary Chaves, Secretary of the Cabrillo Civic Club, Chapter 11, <br /> Alameda County, Requesting that the San Leandro Municipal Band Perform for <br /> Their Club on September 9, 1990. The letter was referred to the budget <br /> process. <br /> g. Letter from Richard F. McCarthy, Chairman of Budget and Finance Committee, <br /> Alameda County Admission Day Celebration Committee, requesting a $100 <br /> donation from the City for a County-wide "Admission Day Celebration" to be <br /> held September 7-9, 1990 in Pleasanton. Referred to the budget process. <br /> h. Letter from Kevin Collins Foundation for Missing Children, Requesting that <br /> the City Council Adopt a Resolution of Support for SB 1564, related to <br /> kidnapping statutes. Mayor Karp said the bill did not refer to what would <br /> happen if minors were the perpetrators of a kidnapping. He said it appeared <br /> they would get the same punishment as an adult and he felt the legislation <br /> should say this only pertained if the perpetrator was an adult. On motion <br /> of Council Member Santos, seconded by Council Member Perry, with Mayor Karp <br /> voting no, the City Council voted to support SB 1564. <br /> RESOLUTIONS: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 90-18 (2614) <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE WORK FOR <br /> DAVIS STREET SOUNDWALLS EAST OF NIMITZ FREEWAY <br /> PROJECT NO. 86-557 <br /> Introduced by Council Member Glaze who moved its adoption, seconded by Council <br /> Member Suchman and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Faria, Glaze, Jardin, Perry, Santos, Suchman; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br />
