The City Council asked what other means there were for <br /> enforcement. Chief of Police, Bob Maginnis, said the Police Department could <br /> pace the cars but this was an inefficient method of enforcement and required a <br /> series of officers. <br /> On motion of Council Member Santos, seconded by Council Member Faria and carried <br /> unanimously, the following Ordinance, as corrected, was introduced: <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 90-013 (1022) <br /> AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO SPEED LIMITS <br /> TITLE VI, CHAPTER 1 OF THE SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> Introduced by Council Member Santos who moved that it be passed to print, <br /> seconded by Council Member Faria, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos ( 6 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: Mayor Karp ( 1 ) <br /> MISCELLANEOUS: <br /> a. Matter of Nomination of Member to Planning Commission (District 4) - <br /> Nomination Pending. Thomas Dlugosh was nominated by Council Member Glaze. <br /> b. Matter of Nomination of Member to Recreation and Parks Commission (SLUSD, <br /> District 1) - Nomination is still pending. The City Clerk indicated she <br /> would get in touch with the San Leandro Unified School District regarding <br /> their nomination. <br /> c. Matter of Nomination of Member to Recreation and Parks Commission <br /> (District 5) - Nomination is still pending (Vacant position-term expires July <br /> 1 , 1992) . <br /> d. Matter of Nomination of Member to Human Resources Commission (District 5) - <br /> Nomination Pending. William Lucchesi was nominated by Council Member Corbett <br /> and the City Clerk indicated that a notice would be posted regarding the <br /> resulting vacancy on the Human Resources Commission in District 2. <br /> e. Matter of Dissolution of City Council 1987 Cherry Festival Committee. <br /> On motion of Council Member Faria, seconded by Council Member Polvorosa, with <br /> Council Member Santos voting no, the City Council 1987 Cherry Festival <br /> Committee was dissolved. <br /> f. Matter of Dissolution of Fourth of July Ad Hoc Committee. On motion of <br /> Council Member Polvorosa, seconded by Council Member Perry and carried <br /> unanimously, the Fourth of July Ad Hoc Committee was dissolved. <br /> g. Council Member Faria noted the asphalt work East Bay Excavating had done at <br /> Stenzel Park and at Madison and asked that they be sent a letter from the <br /> City Council commending them. <br />
