Letter from the Human Resources Commission Recommending Six-Month Contract <br /> with "A Helping Hand" to Provide Subsidized Group Rideshare Program. <br /> Nancy Hillis, Volunteer Services Coordinator, explained the program and said <br /> it complements the existing subsidized taxi program by providing additional <br /> transportation for people who want to rideshare to shopping centers or other <br /> locations. The City Council asked questions regarding insurance <br /> requirements, the number of vehicles to be used in the program, and the <br /> qualifications of the drivers in the program.
