Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - December 17, 1990 Page - 3 - 6. NEW BUSINESS A. The City Council asked if the Lease Agreement with the Boys' Club as proposed provided for termination of the Agreement during the initial 25-year term. The City Attorney said the Agreement only provided for termination on one year's notice during the ten-year renewal period. Council Member Polvorosa moved to approve the Lease Agreement. The motion failed for lack of a second. Steve Meyers, City Attorney, recommended that the City Council approve the Lease Agreement, revised to provide the City the ability to terminate the Lease Agreement upon one year's notice to the Lessee at any point during either the 25-year initial term or the ten-year option period. The City Council concurred in this recommendation and the following Resolution was then introduced: RESOLUTION NO. 90-241 (1362) RESOLUTION APPROVING LEASE AGREEMENT WITH SAN LEANDRO BOYS' CLUB FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 401 MARINA BOULEVARD Introduced by Council Member Perry who moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Faria and carried by the following called vote: AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; Mayor Karp ( 7 ) NOES: None ( 0 ) ABSENT: None ( 0 ) B. The City Council questioned the provision allowing for the sale of sports equipment at the Bikeworks site. The Lease Agreement was modified to permit the sale of bicycle-related sports equipment. The following Resolution was then introduced: RESOLUTION NO. 90-242 (2305) RESOLUTION APPROVING LEASE AGREEMENT WITH MARINA BIKEWORKS Introduced by Council Member Santos who moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Corbett and carried by the following called vote: AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; Mayor Karp ( 7 ) NOES: None ( 0 ) ABSENT: None ( 0 )
