File Number: 13-623 <br />Previous Actions <br />On December 5, 2011, by Resolution No. 2011-201, the City Council approved a resolution <br />approving a program supplemental agreement related to the use of Federal aid for design <br />of this project <br />On June 3, 2013, by Resolution No. 2013-076, the City Council approved a resolution <br />approving Plans and Specifications and Calling for Bids <br />On October 7, 2013, by Resolution No. 2013-130, the City Council approved a resolution <br />approving a program supplemental agreement related to the use of Federal aid for <br />construction of this project <br />Applicable General Plan Policies <br />16.03 Regularly maintain City streets and traffic control devices to ensure that streets operate <br />safely and efficiently. <br />Permits and/or Variances Granted <br />This work will be done under the following permits and/or approvals: <br />• California Department of Fish and Wildlife Authorization <br />• Alameda County Flood Control Permit <br />• Army Corps of Engineers Permit <br />• Bay Conservation and Development Commission Permit <br />• San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board Permit <br />Environmental Review <br />The City has determined that this project is exempt from CEQA per section 15302(c), which <br />authorizes work on existing facilities with no expansion in capacity. <br />Caltrans has performed an environmental review and found that the project is Categorically <br />Excluded from NEPA. <br />Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br />There has been no public outreach for the project. The bridge will remain open to pedestrians <br />at all times. The bridge is not normally open to public vehicles. <br />Signs indicating that work is planned will be posted at the site approximately two weeks prior <br />to construction. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />The entire Monarch Bay Drive Bridge Maintenance and Repair project will cost $360,000, <br />funded as follows: <br />Monarch Bay Drive Bridge 33CO134: Federal funds $315,388 <br />Local funds 44,612 <br />City of San Leandro Page 2 Printed on 1114/2014 <br />
