File Number: 13-536 <br />received on June 28, 2012 for the Annual Street Sealing 2011-12 project <br />On January 22, 2013, by Resolution No. 2013-003, the City Council approved the plans <br />and specifications and called for bids on the Annual Street Sealing 2012-13 project <br />On March 18, 2013, by Resolution No. 2013-037, the City Council awarded the <br />construction contract to Intermountain Slurry Seal, Inc. <br />Applicable General Plan Policies <br />This action is consistent with Streets and Highways Goal No. 16 of the General Plan and <br />Action Item 16.03: Regularly maintain City streets and traffic control devices to ensure that <br />streets operate safely and efficiently. <br />Environmental Review <br />This project is categorically exempt from CEQA per Section 15301(c) - Existing Facilities. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />The total project cost was $2,170,559.74, which included both the rubber and non -rubber or <br />traditional street sealing work as well as design and construction management of both work <br />items. <br />A summary of the Street Sealing contract with Intermountain Slurry Seal, Inc. is below: <br />Original Contract $848,727.40 <br />Change Orders $16,169.50 <br />Total Contract Amount $864,896.90 <br />Budget Authority <br />Funding allocations for both the Annual Street Sealing 2012-13 Project and Asphalt Rubber <br />Street Sealing 2012-13 Project were as follows: <br />1) $720,779.14 - Measure B Streets & Roads Funds, Annual Street Sealing 2011-12, <br />Account No. 144-38-332, allocated in FY 2011-12 <br />2) $600,000.00 - Gas Tax Funds, Annual Street Sealing 2011-12, Account No. 142-38- <br />332, allocated in FY 2011-12 <br />3) $910,422.00 - Gas Tax Funds, Annual Street Sealing 2012-13, Account No. 142-38- <br />342, allocated in FY 2012-13 <br />4) $57,761.00 - Measure B Streets & Roads Funds, Annual Street Sealing 2012-13, <br />Account No. 144-38-343, allocated in FY 2012-13 <br />5) $31,817.00 - Measure B Streets & Roads Funds, Annual Street Sealing 2012-13, <br />Account No. 144-38-342, allocated in FY 2012-13 <br />6) $3,050.18 - Measure B Streets & Roads Funds, Annual Street Sealing 2010-11, <br />Account No. 144-38-323, allocated in FY 2010-11 <br />PREPARED BY: Kyle K.
