EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />I . UNDERSTANDING. The City of San Leandro (City) owns and operates a 7.6-mgd rated <br />average dry weather flow (ADWF) Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) located in San <br />Leandro, California. Carollo Engineers (Consultant) has completed design of the WPCP <br />Rehabilitation Project to restore the capacity and function of the WPCP with improvements to <br />various existing facilities and by adding new facilities. Construction of the project will be <br />performed by S.J. Amoroso Construction Co., Inc. Construction Management of the project will <br />be provided by the City. This contract is to provide additional Special Inspection as required for <br />the construction of the aforementioned improvements. Inspections are to be performed as <br />required by the plans and specifications, by code compliance, and by the project manager. This <br />Scope of Services is based on a construction period of 690 working days (approximately 32 <br />months) from Contractors notice to proceed. <br />2. SCOPE OF WORK — INSPECTIONS. <br />Onsite Testing and Inspections (820 inspection hours have been budgeted for this task): <br />a. Reinforced Concrete — Footings, grade beams, walls, columns, slab on grade, other <br />b. Structural Masonry <br />c. Epoxy Bolts/Proof Load <br />d. Field Welding <br />e. NACE coating inspections <br />Soils Testing and Inspections (483 inspection hours have been budgeted for this task): <br />a. Earthwork/compaction <br />A 5% project management and admin fee will be charged monthly per invoice. <br />3. TIME OF PERFORMAN <br />a. Job site inspection hours are Monday through Friday 6am to 6pm, observations and <br />inspections will be scheduled during these hours. Observations or inspections scheduled <br />outside of these hours shall be charged as described in Exhibit "B" <br />b. Consultant shall be given a written schedule of work; changes to the schedule shall be issued <br />at least 48 hours in advance of the work. <br />c.
