Cleaning methods used may include dry <br /> methods, such as brushing, scraping, or vacuuming. If dry <br /> methods are not effective,wet methods,such as steam cleaning or <br /> pressure-washing, should be used. The contractor will contain, <br /> manage, and collect samples of the rinse water for analytical ' <br /> testing by a state certified laboratory prior to appropriate <br /> disposal. Decontamination procedures shall be developed and <br /> implemented by the construction' contractor to minimize the <br /> possibility that equipment releases contaminated soil onto public <br /> • <br /> roadways or to on-Site areas containing "clean" cover materials <br /> or new paving. <br /> • Personal Protective Equipment: Personal Protective <br /> Equipment (PPE) and clothing shall be used to isolate workers <br /> from COPCs and physical hazards.
