CityofSanLeandroAnnualActionPlan <br />2014 <br />16 <br />OMBControlNo:2506Ͳ0117(exp.07/31/2015) <br />AffordableHousing <br /> <br />APͲ55AffordableHousing–91.220(g) <br /> <br />Introduction <br />InFY2014Ͳ2015,theCityofSanLeandrowillcontinuetodiligentlyputeffortstowardsproviding <br />affordablehousingintheCityforhomeless,nonͲhomeless,andspecialneedshouseholds.Despitethe <br />decreasingallocationamount,theCitycontinuestoreceiveHOMEfundswhichcanbeusedtoacquire, <br />rehabilitate,andconstructaffordablehousing,aswellastoprovidetenantͲbasedassistanceforincomeͲ <br />eligiblefamilies.ThepassageoftheCaliforniaStateLegislationAB1x26,whicheliminatedthe <br />RedevelopmentAgencyoftheCityofSanLeandro(Agency)andalltheotherredevelopmentagencies <br />throughoutCaliforniaonFebruary1,2012,hasseverelyimpairedtheCity’sabilitytofinanceaffordable <br />housingactivitieswiththesubstantiallossofRedevelopmentHousingSetͲAsidefunds,whichtheCity <br />historicallyusedtosubstantiallyfundaffordablehousingforlowͲandmoderateͲincome <br />households.Moreover,thereisaminimalbalanceintheCity'sAffordableHousingTrustFundwhich <br />includesinͲlieufeesfromtheCity’sInclusionaryZoningOrdinancefromforͲsaleprojectsconsistingof <br />two(2)tosix(6)totalunits.Consequently,withfundsthatcontinuetodiminish,theCitydoesnot <br />anticipatehavinglimitedabilitytoproviderentalassistance,producenewunits,rehabilitatedexisting <br />units,and/oracquireexistingunitsinFY2014Ͳ2015. <br /> <br />OneYearGoalsfortheNumberofHouseholdstobeSupported <br />Homeless0 <br />NonͲHomeless0 <br />SpecialͲNeeds0 <br />Total0 <br />Table9ͲOneYearGoalsforAffordableHousingbySupportRequirement <br /> <br />OneYearGoalsfortheNumberofHouseholdsSupportedThrough <br />RentalAssistance0 <br />TheProductionofNewUnits0 <br />RehabofExistingUnits0 <br />AcquisitionofExistingUnits0 <br />Total0 <br />Table10ͲOneYearGoalsforAffordableHousingbySupportType <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
