IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2014-040 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A <br /> 5-YEAR CONTRACT FOR EIGHTY(80)BODY WORN DIGITAL VIDEO CAMERAS AND <br /> A DIGITAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FROM TASER INTERNATIONAL <br /> WHEREAS, agreements between the City of San Leandro and Taser International have <br /> been presented to this City Council; and <br /> WHEREAS,the agreements involve fiscal year 2014-15 appropriations of$59,724.44 for <br /> purchase of the 80 body worn digital cameras, and$68,072.64 for services related to a digital cloud <br /> storage management system using account 010-21-004-7410 for$75,000 and account 150-21-011- <br /> 7410 for$52,797.08; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Manager recommends approval of said agreements. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. That said agreements in an amount not to exceed$441,306.84 over a 5-year period <br /> are hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and <br /> 2. That the original executed agreements shall be attached to and made a part of this <br /> resolution. <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Cutter and passed and adopted this 5th day of May, 2014, <br /> by the following vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Cutter, Gregory, Lee, Prola, Reed, Souza; Mayor Cassidy (7) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> ABSENT: None (0) <br /> ATTEST: L _ <br /> Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
