IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 99 -25 (2465/1219/1250) <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT A GRANT <br /> APPLICATION FOR STATE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM <br /> (STIP) FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,425,000 FOR FISCAL YEAR 1999-2000 TO <br /> REHABILITATE 29 LOCAL RESIDENTIAL STREET SEGMENTS <br /> Recitals <br /> Whereas, City of San Leandro has authority under California Government Code <br /> Sections et seq. for the exercise of certain powers to resurface roadways; <br /> Whereas, SB45 reformed the State Transportation Improvement Program(STIP) <br /> (Chapter 97-062, October 3, 1997) and <br /> Whereas,pursuant to SB45, and the regulations promulgated thereunder, eligible <br /> project sponsors wishing to receive State Transportation Improvement Program grants for <br /> a project shall submit an application first with the appropriate metropolitan transportation <br /> planning organization(MPO), for review and inclusion in the MPO's Regional <br /> Transportation Improvement Program(RTIP); and <br /> Whereas, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission is the MPO for the San <br /> Francisco Bay region; and <br /> Whereas, City of San Leandro is an eligible project sponsor for State <br /> Transportation Improvement Program funds; and <br /> Whereas, City of San Leandro wishes to submit a grant application to MTC for <br /> funds from the State Transportation Improvement Program in fiscal year 1999-2000 for <br /> the following projects: (SEE EXHIBIT 1) <br />
