City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: June 16, 2014 <br />Resolution - SA <br />Agenda Section:File Number:14-241 ACTION ITEMS <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency of the <br />City of San Leandro Approving the Issuance of Refunding Bonds in Order to <br />Refund Certain Outstanding Bonds of the Dissolved Redevelopment Agency <br />of the City of San Leandro, Approving the Execution and Delivery of an <br />Indenture of Trust Relating Thereto , Requesting Oversight Board Approval of <br />the Issuance of the Refunding Bonds, Requesting Certain Determinations by <br />the Oversight Board, and Providing for Other Matters Properly Relating <br />Thereto (refunds $10,375,000 of Redevelopment Agency of the City of San <br />Leandro Tax Allocation Bonds , Series 2002 and $4,720,000 of <br />Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro Tax Allocation Bonds , <br />Series 2004, in the aggregate principal not to exceed $14,000,000) <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 34172(a) of the California Health and Safety Code <br />(unless otherwise noted, all Section references hereinafter being to such Code), the <br />Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro (the “Former Agency”) has been dissolved <br />and no longer exists as a public body, corporate and politic, and pursuant to Section 34173, <br />the Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro (the <br />“Successor Agency”) has become the successor entity to the Former Agency ; <br />WHEREAS, prior to the dissolution of the Former Agency , the Former Agency issued <br />its Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro Plaza 1 and Plaza 2 Redevelopment <br />Project 1993 Tax Allocation Bonds, Series A (the “Prior 1993 Bonds”) for the purpose of <br />financing redevelopment activities; <br />WHEREAS, prior to the dissolution of the Former Agency , the Former Agency issued <br />its Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro Plaza Redevelopment Project Tax <br />Allocation Bonds, Series 2002 (the “Prior 2002 Bonds”) in the initial aggregate principal <br />amount of $15,935,000 for the purpose of financing redevelopment activities and of providing <br />funds to refinance the Prior 1993 Bonds; <br />WHEREAS, prior to the dissolution of the Former Agency , the Former Agency issued <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 6/10/2014
