IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2014-063 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE, <br /> A LEASE OF APPROXIMATELY 3,675 SQUARE FEET OF OFFICE SPACE ON THE <br /> SECOND FLOOR OF SAN LEANDRO CITY HALL, FORMERLY OCCUPIED BY THE <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT, TO THE SAN LEANDRO UNIFIED SCHOOL <br /> DISTRICT FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION PURPOSES <br /> RECITALS <br /> WHEREAS,a Lease agreement between the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro <br /> Unified School District for available office space on the second floor of City Hall, a copy of which <br /> is attached,has been presented to this City Council; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council finds that entering into this Lease is in the best interest of the <br /> City, in that it promotes the public health and welfare, and meets one of the City Council's goals: <br /> Maintain and support a strong positive relationship between the City, schools and the educational <br /> community. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> That said Lease agreement with the San Leandro Unified School District for$56,000 for <br /> the first year, to escalate by the Consumer Price Index [CPI] each year, for a term of 5 years, <br /> with an option for an additional 5 years, is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is <br /> hereby authorized, subject to minor amendments and changes by the City Manager and the <br /> approval as to form by the City Attorney. <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Reed and passed and adopted this 16th day of June, 2014, <br /> by the following vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Cutter, Gregory, Lee, Prola, Reed, Souza; Mayor Cassidy (7) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> ABSENT: None (0) <br /> ATTEST: V VUJtt 1A <br /> Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
