Utilities, Major. Generating plants, electrical substations, above-ground electrical <br />transmission lines, switching buildings, data centers, refuse collection, transfer, recy- <br />cling or disposal facilities, flood control or drainage facilities, water or wastewater treat- <br />ment plants, transportation or communications utilities, and similar facilities of public <br />agencies or public utilities, but excluding wireless telecommunication facilities anten- <br />nas and towers, see Section 4-1686 {as per Ordinance No. 98-009}. A structure that <br />may have a significant effect on surrounding uses shall be regulated under this classifi- <br />cation. <br /> <br />Utilities, Minor. Utility facilities that are necessary to support legally established uses <br />and involve only minor structures such as electrical distribution lines, underground water <br />and sewer lines, and recycling centers within convenience zones, as defined by the Cal- <br />ifornia Beverage Container Recycling and Litter Reduction Act. <br /> <br />Utility Rights-of-Way. Property substantially controlled by, and primarily used by, a <br />public or private utility for high voltage transmission lines, flood control, railroad or simi- <br />lar purposes. <br /> <br />Vehicle/Equipment Repair, General. Repair of large commercial trucks [over six (6) <br />wheels or over ten thousand (10,000) pounds], mobile homes, recreational vehicles or <br />boats, including the sale, installation, and servicing of related equipment and parts. <br /> <br />Vehicle/Equipment Repair, Limited. Repair of automobiles, small trucks (e.g., pick-up <br />trucks), or motorcycles, including the sale, installation, and servicing of related equip- <br />ment and parts. This classification includes auto repair shops, body and fender shops, <br />wheel and brake shops, stereo installation, and tire sales and installations, but excludes <br />vehicle dismantling or salvage and tire re-treading or recapping. <br /> <br />Vehicle/Heavy Equipment Dealers, New. Sale or leasing of new automobiles, motor- <br />cycles, boats, trucks, tractors, construction or agricultural equipment, mobile homes, <br />and similar equipment, including storage and incidental maintenance. This includes <br />used car sales in connection with new car sales. <br /> <br />Vehicle/Heavy Equipment Dealers, Used. Sale or leasing of used automobiles of nu- <br />merous model types, motorcycle, boats, trucks, tractors, construction or agricultural <br />equipment, mobile homes, and similar equipment, including storage and incidental <br />maintenance. <br /> <br />Vehicle /Heavy Equipment Dealers Limited, Used. Sale or leasing of used automobiles <br />of numerous model types, motorcycles, boats, trucks, tractors, construction or agricultural <br />equipment, mobile homes, and similar equipment, including storage and incidental <br />maintenance, where no more than two (2) parking spaces are devoted for such use and <br />where the purpose is to satisfy the requirements of the California Department of Motor Ve- <br />hicles to provide an office location where customers can complete required paperwork and <br />take possession of a vehicle purchased primarily via Internet activities or fleet sales. Dis- <br />play of vehicles “For Sale” is prohibited.
