Conversion of buildings and grounds of schools satisfying the requirements of the <br />compulsory education laws of the State of California to any of the following uses is <br />permitted provided such uses may only be approved for a maximum interim period of <br />five (5) years; and provided further that such uses do not cause or result in the sub- <br />stantial alteration of any buildings or activity areas on the school site: <br /> <br />1. Public assembly or dance; <br />2.
