F. All references to days are to calendar days unless otherwise indicated. If a deadline <br />falls on a weekend or holiday, it shall be extended to the next working day. <br /> <br />G. Article and section headings contained herein shall not be deemed to govern, limit, <br />modify or in any manner affect the scope, meaning or intent of any section hereof. <br /> <br />H. Unless the context clearly indicates the contrary: <br /> <br />1. The present tense includes the future, and the future the present. <br /> <br />2. The singular number includes the plural, and the plural the singular. <br /> <br />3. References in the masculine and feminine genders are interchangeable. <br /> <br />4. To bring into conformity with the provisions of this code, either by reconstruction <br />or modification pursuant to a valid permit, or by removal or obliteration as directed by <br />the Chief Building Official or Zoning Enforcement Official. <br /> <br />Abutting or Adjoining. Having district boundaries or lot lines in common. <br /> <br />Accessory Dwelling Unit. See “Secondary Dwelling Unit.” <br /> <br />Accessory Uses and Structures. Uses and structures that are incidental to the princi- <br />pal permitted or conditionally permitted use or structure on a site and are customarily <br />found on the same site. This classification includes, for example, home occupations, <br />and caretaker’s quarters as defined in this Code. <br /> <br />Acre, Gross. A measure of land area prior to division or dedication for streets, public <br />improvements, or other purposes. <br /> <br />Acre, Net. A measure of developable land area, after excluding existing dedicated <br />rights-of-way and flood control and drainage easements. <br /> <br />Activity. The performance of a function or operation. <br />Activity type.
