IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2014-083 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A <br /> LEGAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH BERTRAND, FOX AND ELLIOT FOR <br /> LEGAL DEFENSE SERVICES RELATING TO <br /> GENERAL LIABILITY TORT CLAIMS LITIGATION <br /> WHEREAS,the City in accordance with its purchasing provisions has identified Bertrand, <br /> Fox and Elliot to provide legal defense services relating to general liability claims litigation; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City wishes to enter into an agreement with Bertrand, Fox and Elliot for <br /> said work; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council is familiar with the terms of the agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. That the agreement with Bertrand, Fox and Elliot in an amount not to exceed <br /> $100,000 is hereby approved, and$100,000 appropriation from the Self Insurance Fund account <br /> 689-19-004 is also approved; and <br /> 2. That the terms of the agreement will be memorialized in writing by the City <br /> Manager, subject to the approval of the City Attorney; and <br /> 3. That the City Manager is authorized to execute said agreement; and <br /> 4.
