City of Sail Leandro Planning Commission
June 11, 2014
commute corridor by bicyclists since the primary access point along Bayfront Drive will either be
eliminated for bicyclists or restricted. In addition, the proposed gates would make it more
difficult for individuals with disabilities to access the Bay Trail by eliminating the ability for them
to be dropped off at the trailhead by a car.
The Bay Trail Project appreciates the Planning Commission's consideration of our comments,
and we hope that the City and Heron Bay residents will be able to resolve any security concerns
without eliminating or restricting public access to the Bay Trail. We look forward to our
continued partnership with the City in providing trails and public access to the East Bay
communities. Please do not hesitate to contact me at (510) 464-7915 if you have any questions
regarding this or other aspects of the Bay Trail.
Sincerely, r -
Lee Chien Huo
Bay Trail Planner
