By creating a continuous multi -use trail from the
hills to the shoreline along the San Leandro -Oakland corridor, the region will have access to
active transportation, regional parks, and potential new businesses. The project creates a more
multi -modal, livable community that helps support a sustainable system and contributes to the
mobility, access, and safety of residents in the community.
The San Leandro Creek Multi -Use Greenway Trail will require continued regional coordination,
and the City of San Leandro should be awarded a FHWA Partnership Planning for Sustainable
Transportation grant to bring this important project to fruition.
Sincerely,
Rob Bonta
Assemblymember, 18th District
