City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: September 15, 2014 <br />Resolution - Council <br />File Number: 14-374 Agenda Section: CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO: City Council <br />FROM: Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY: Cynthia Battenberg <br />Community Development Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW: David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE: RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Execute Agreements with the <br />California Department of Transportation for the San Leandro Creek Trail <br />Master Plan (enables the City to accept a $201,510 Caltrans Partnership <br />Planning for Sustainable Transportation grant for the development of a San <br />Leandro Creek Trail Master Plan, and make a $10,000 funding match) <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro is eligible to receive <br />Federal and/or State funding for certain transportation planning related projects, through the <br />California Department of Transportation (Caltrans); and <br />WHEREAS, a Fund Transfer Agreement must be executed with the California <br />Department of Transportation before such funds can be claimed through the Caltrans <br />Transportation Planning Grant Programs; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro wishes to delegate to the City <br />Manager authorization to execute these agreements and any amendments thereto; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro will provide matching funds in the amount of <br />$10,000, appropriated from FY 14-15 City Manager's Contingency Fund 010-14-015 and <br />appropriate $201,510 from FY 14-15 account 150-41-211 to use the grant from the State. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute all Fund Transfer <br />Agreements and any amendments thereto with the California Department of Transportation; <br />and <br />2. That said matching funds in an amount not to exceed $10,000 is hereby approved <br />and expenditure of $201,510 State grant funds is also approved. <br />City of San Leandro Page 1 Printed on 9/9/2014 <br />
