(1) Class A - Industrial Users who are regulated by Federal Categorical <br />Pretreatment Standards. <br />(2) Class B - Users not covered by Federal Categorical Pretreatment <br />Standards, but `"'hamhave the potential to discharge toxic—regulated pollutants and <br />must meet the pollutant limitations set by the can eaR dre Wastewater Dicnharge <br />Ordreestablished in this Chapter and in individual permits issued by the <br />Control Authority. <br />(3) Class C - Users that discharge conventional pollutants leads but <br />could by themselves or combined with flow from another 2ndustry User overload the <br />treatment mart+City sanitary sewer system, causing the plaet City to violate NPDES <br />permit limits. <br />(4) Class D - Users that discharge wastewater from prejeGts sources <br />not associated with nermal usual industrial or maRufaGt firing processes. PrejeGtS <br />Sources may include but are not limited to groundwater ane remediation, <br />trenGhi� excavation and leachate extraction. <br />(ae) Manager. Manager shall mean the can ' eandro City Manager or his er <br />her his/her designee. See City Manager. <br />(af) Mass Emission Rate. Mass Emission Rate shall mean the mass of <br />material discharged to the City sanitary sewer system during a given time interval. <br />Unless otherwise specified, the mass emission shall mean pounds per day of a <br />particular constituent or combination of constituents. <br />(ag) National Pretreatment Standard. National Pretreatment Standard shall <br />mean any regulation containing pollutant discharge limits promulgated by the EPA in <br />accordance with Section 307 (b) and (c) of the Act, which applies to Industrial Users. <br />This term includes prohibitive discharge limits established pursuant to in 40 CFR Part <br />403.5. <br />(ah) National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System o--(NPDES) Permit. <br />National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System er--JNPDES) Permit shall mean a <br />permit issued pursuant to Section 402 of the Act. <br />(ai) National Prohibitive Discharge Standard or Prohibitive Discharge <br />Standard. National Prohibitive Discharge Standard or Prohibitive Discharge Standard <br />shall mean any regulation developed under the authority of 307 (b) of the Act and 40 <br />CFR, Section 403.5. <br />(aD Natural Outlet. Natural Outlet shall mean any outlet into a watercourse, <br />pond, ditch, lake, bay, ocean, or other body of surface water, or outlet into the ground <br />water. <br />0 <br />
