IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2014-118 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A <br /> LEGAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH BERTRAND, FOX,AND ELLIOT FOR <br /> LEGAL REPRESENTATION ASSOCIATED WITH <br /> GENERAL LIABILITY CLAIMS AND CLAIMS LITIGATION <br /> WHEREAS,the City in accordance with its purchasing provisions has identified Bertrand, <br /> Fox, and Elliot to provide legal representation associated with general liability claims and claims <br /> litigation; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City wishes to enter into an agreement with Bertrand, Fox, and Elliot for <br /> said work; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council is familiar with the terms of the agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. That said agreement in an amount not to exceed$100,000.00 is hereby approved; <br /> and <br /> 2. That the terms of the agreement will be memorialized in writing by the City <br /> Manager, subject to the approval of the City Attorney; and <br /> 3. That the City Manager is authorized to execute said agreement; and <br /> 4. That an original executed agreement shall be provided to the City Clerk, attached <br /> to, and made a part of this resolution. <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Souza and passed and adopted this 3rd day of November, <br /> 2014, by the following vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Cutter, Lee, Prola, Reed, Souza; Mayor Cassidy (6) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Gregory (1) <br /> ATTEST: M4CUR <br /> Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
