IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2014-126 <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING AS SURPLUS SEVEN (7) VEHICLES AND FOUR(4) PIECES <br /> OF EQUIPMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE SALE THEREOF AT PUBLIC AUCTION <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code authorizes the City's <br /> Purchasing Agent to sell equipment which has become unsuitable or unnecessary for the City <br /> purposes; and <br /> WHEREAS, seven(7)vehicles have been identified as no longer useful to the City <br /> operations and therefore should be declared surplus and sold at auction; and <br /> WHEREAS, four(4)pieces of equipment have been identified as no longer useful to the <br /> City operations and therefore should be declared surplus and sold at auction; and <br /> WHEREAS,the San Leandro and San Lorenzo Unified School Districts have expressed no <br /> interest in obtaining any of the vehicles. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> Following public notice as may be required by law and in accordance with Section 1-6-500 <br /> of the San Leandro Municipal Code the declaration of surplus and authorization of the sale of <br /> seven(7)vehicles and four(4)pieces of equipment at public auction by First Capitol Auctions in <br /> Vallejo, CA is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, December 12-13,2014. <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Prola and passed and adopted this 17th day of November, <br /> 2014,by the following vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Cutter, Gregory, Lee, Prola, Reed, Souza; Mayor Cassidy (7) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> ABSENT: None (0) <br /> ATTEST: 1n 4 <br /> ark___. <br /> Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
