Development projects below the significance thresholds <br />are not expected to generate sufficient criteria pollutant emissions to violate any air quality standards or <br />contribute substantially to an existing or projected air quality violation. <br />Construction Emissions <br />Construction activities produce combustion emissions from various sources, such as on-site heavy-duty <br />construction vehicles, vehicles hauling materials to and from the site, and motor vehicles transporting the <br />construction crew. Site preparation activities produce fugitive dust emissions (PM10 and PM2.5) from <br />demolition and soil -disturbing activities, such as grading and excavation. Air pollutant emissions from <br />construction activities on-site would vary daily as construction activity levels change. <br />The Project would result in overlapping construction sub -phases and substantial demolition export that <br />would occur proximate to existing sensitive land uses to the north and east of the Project site. Therefore, <br />a quantified analysis of the Project's construction emissions was conducted using CalEEMod based on <br />information available. <br />PLACEWORKS 4.2-23 <br />
