Unclassified <br />The 15 incidents that occurred in open spaces resulted in 45 people killed, including 1 <br />law enforcement officer, and 54 people wounded (including 10 law enforcement officers). <br />The shooters ranged in age from 17 to 72. Only 1 incident had 2 shooters. Most incidents <br />occurred on Fridays (6) with the rest occurring on Saturdays (3), Sundays (3), Tuesdays <br />(2), and a Monday (1). In all, 4 shooters committed suicide (2 at the scene and 2 at <br />.another location). Police killed 4 shooters (3 at the scene and 1 at another location) and <br />apprehended 7 shooters (4 at another location, 2 at the scene, and 1 after the shooter was <br />restrained by a citizen). In the 15 incidents, 11 of the shooters were in vehicles during a <br />portion of the incident. <br />The 11 incidents that occurred on non-military government properties resulted in 24 <br />killed (including 3 law enforcement officers) and 14 wounded (including 4law enforce- <br />ment officers). The ages of the shooters, 1 of whom was female, ranged from 23 to 88. <br />One unknown shooter remains at large. Most incidents occurred on Mondays (3) and <br />Wednesdays (3) with the rest occurring on Thursdays (2), a Tuesday (1), a Friday (1), and <br />a Saturday (1). In all, 4 shooters were killed by police at the scene, 1 shooter was killed by <br />an airport security guard, 3 shooters were apprehended by police at the scene (1 after the <br />shooter was restrained by a citizen), 2 shooters committed suicide at the scene (1 before and <br />1 after police arrived), and 1 shooter fled and is still at large. <br />incidents <br />(13.1%), <br />ended after <br />unarmed <br />citizens <br />safely and <br />successfully <br />restrained <br />the shooter. <br />Unclassified 18 <br />
