IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2015-031 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT <br /> TO THE CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH TOWNSEND PUBLIC AFFAIRS <br /> FOR STATE LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY SERVICES, TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE <br /> AGREEMENT BY AN ADDITIONAL ONE YEAR PERIOD, <br /> IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $60,000 ANNUALLY <br /> WHEREAS on February 18, 2014,the City Council authorized the City Manager to enter <br /> into a one-year agreement between the City of San Leandro and Townsend Public Affairs, for the <br /> provision of state level advocacy services; and <br /> WHEREAS, for the past year, Townsend Public Affairs provided the City Council with <br /> excellent services representing the City of San Leandro's interests in the state capitol; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to extend the term of its existing agreement with <br /> Townsend Public Affairs for an additional year of services; and <br /> WHEREAS the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> That said agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby <br /> authorized; and <br /> That the appropriation of$60,000 from the General Fund economic uncertainty reserve, <br /> and transfer of$60,000 to the City Manager's Contingency Fund (Account# 010-12-020-5120 is <br /> hereby authorized. <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Lee and passed and adopted this 17th day of February, <br /> 2015, by the following vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Cox, Lee, Lopez,Prola, Reed, Thomas; Mayor Cutter (7) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> ABSENT: None (0) <br /> ATTEST: �� V AAA A �`� VV,t�,& <br /> Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
