RufposeAuthoriity and Purpose <br /> 19 <br /> This Agreement is made under the authority of and pursuant to the Joint <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Exercise of Powers Act, Chapter 5 of Division 7 of Title 1 of the California <br /> 22 Government Code (commencing with Section 6500 et seq.) (the "Act"), relative to the <br /> 23 joint exercise of powers common to the Agencies and as otherwise granted by the <br /> 24 <br /> Act. This Agreement mage pursuant to Chapter 5 of DiVicion 7 Title 1 of the <br /> 25 California GoveMment Code (SeGtieRS 6500 et seq) and relates to the jeint exeFGise e <br /> 26 powers GOMMnn to eaGh of the nneRGies. The purpose of the Agreement is to jointly <br /> 27 exercise these common powers in the manner hereinafter set forth. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Section 3.
