1 (a) Have undertaken at the cost and expense of the violating Agency or <br /> 2 Agencies the operation of existing facilities or construction and operation <br /> 3 of additional treatment facilities as necessary to meet said discharge <br /> 4 requirements. <br /> 5 (b) Impose a prohibition of additional connections to the collection system of <br /> 6 the Agency or Agencies in violation. <br /> 7 Nothing in this Section shall preclude one or more Agencies from providing <br /> 8 additional levels of treatment to insure meeting waste discharge requirements for the <br /> 9 combined effluent. In the event that one or more Agencies are obligated to provide <br /> 10 additional levels of treatment to meet waste discharge requirements for the combined <br /> 11 effluent, all Agencies requiring the additional levels of treatment shall participate in the <br /> 12 costs of such treatment based on their relative contribution of waste characteristics to <br /> 13 be treated and the costs of providing such treatment. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Section 24-17. Future Projects <br /> 16 It is understood that it may be in the interest of the Agencies for the Authority to <br /> 17 <br /> acquire and construct additional phases efthe—wasteater maRagemeRt faGilities <br /> 18 <br /> on�n d ;r the Q^^^r+Joint Use Facilities. This Agreement is subject to modification <br /> 19 <br /> 20 in the event all Agencies desire to do so. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Section 2218. Contributions, Payments and Advances, Use of Personnel, <br /> 23 Equipment or Property; Exchange of Services <br /> 24 It is hereby agreed that: <br /> 25 (a) Contributions from an Agency's treasury may be made for the purpose set <br /> 26 forth in this Agreement. <br /> 27 (b) Payments of public funds of Agency may be made to defray the cost of <br /> 28 such purpose. <br /> 29 (c) Each of the Agencies may make advances of public funds, to be repaid as <br /> 30 set forth in this Agreement. <br /> 31 (d) Subject to approval of the Manager, personnel, equipment, or property <br /> 32 may be used in lieu of other contributions or advances. <br /> -22- <br /> 2336705.4 <br />
