Public facilities • Include an investment in our parks, libraries and infrastructure; this is so <br />important; facilities are the first thing to go in hard times <br />• Recommit to CIP projects; community interacts with facilities a lot; these <br />are assets available to everyone <br />• Council is currently ranking CIP projects <br />• The Police Department has double or triple the number of 911 calls in their <br />dispatch center and the facility needs to be upgraded <br />• City should facilitate a discussion or work session with all Council members <br />about CIP priorities before Council members are asked for input and <br />priority rankings; the Council needs more information and dialogue about <br />CIP projects to make informed decisions; this information should include <br />the impact of each project on the short and long term future <br />• Impact of CIP projects should be quantified <br />12 <br />
