$AN City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: April 6, 2015 <br />Resolution - Council <br />File Number: 15-184 Agenda Section: CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO: City Council <br />FROM: Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY: Sandra Spagnoli <br />Chief of Police <br />FINANCE REVIEW: David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE: RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Execute Purchase <br />Agreement(s) for the Purchase and Outfitting of 10 Police Vehicles in an <br />Amount Not to Exceed $460,000 <br />WHEREAS, the City annually replaces police vehicles according to a replacement <br />schedule; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2014-046 that approved a budget <br />adjustment in the amount of $300,000 for the Police Department to add additional vehicles to <br />its aging fleet, and $160,000 from the 2013-14 adopted budget was carried over to 2014-15; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, staff proposes procuring five replacement vehicles and five additional <br />vehicles to increase its fleet; and <br />WHEREAS, staff will include local dealerships in the competitive bid process. The total <br />amount of the purchase will not exceed $460,000. <br />NOW THEREFORE the City Council of the City of San Leandro resolves as follows: <br />That five replacement vehicles and five additional police vehicles may be purchased <br />and outfitted (excluding computers) to police department specifications, for a sum not to <br />exceed $460,000; and <br />That the City Manager is authorized to execute the said purchase agreement(s) and all <br />other documents related to the purchase. <br />City of San Leandro Page 1 Printed on 3/31/2015 <br />
