$AN City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: April 20, 2015 <br />Resolution - Council <br />File Number: 15-195 Agenda Section: CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO: City Council <br />FROM: Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY: Keith Cooke <br />Acting Engineering & Transportation Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW: David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE: RESOLUTION Awarding a Construction Contract to All Phase Excavation & <br />Construction, Inc. for the Fiber Loop City Hall to Main Library Project, Project <br />No. 2013.0270 and Appropriating $30,000.00 from the General Fund (awards <br />a contract to the lowest responsible bidder in the amount of $62,990.00 for the <br />installation of a separate fiber optic communication line between City Hall and <br />the Main Library and appropriates $30,000.00 from the General Fund <br />Economic Uncertainty Reserves for the project) <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro did, on March 10, 2015 publicly open, examine <br />and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the work described in the bid documents for <br />the subject project; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposals were submitted to the Engineering and Transportation <br />Director who has found that the proposal hereinafter mentioned is the lowest responsive bid <br />by a responsible bidder for doing said work; and <br />WHEREAS, the subject project has been deemed categorically exempt from the <br />California Environmental Quality Act. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />1. That said City Council hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids except that herein <br />mentioned; hereby waives any irregularities in the proposal or bid of the lowest responsible <br />bidder; and hereby awards the contract for doing said work to the lowest responsible bidder <br />therefore, to wit, All Phase Excavation & Construction, Inc., in the amount of $62,990.00; <br />2. That $30,000.00 of General Fund Economic Uncertainty Reserves are appropriated <br />for the project; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: <br />City of San Leandro Page 1 Printed on 4/14/2015 <br />
