City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: June 15, 2015 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:15-326 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY:Keith Cooke <br />Engineering & Transportation Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Enter the City into a Master <br />Programs Funding Agreement with the Alameda County Transportation <br />Commission for the Distribution and Receipt of Measure BB Transportation <br />Sales Tax Revenue <br />WHEREAS, on November 4, 2014, Alameda County voters approved the 2014 <br />Transportation Expenditure Plan (“Measure BB”), a half-cent transportation sales tax that <br />extends the existing 2000 Measure B transportation sales tax, and augments it by a one-half <br />percent, to fund transportation projects and programs in Alameda County; and <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County Transportation Commission (“Alameda CTC”) is <br />responsible for distributing Measure BB revenues to local jurisdictions to support bicycle and <br />pedestrian infrastructure safety, local street maintenance and safety (local streets and roads), <br />and transit and paratransit programs; and <br />WHEREAS, Measure BB requires that the City enter into a Master Programs Funding <br />Agreement with the Alameda CTC in order to distribute Measure BB funds; and <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda CTC developed a Measure BB Master Programs Funding <br />Agreement (“MPFA”) that specifies Measure BB Direct Local Distribution (“DLD”) funding <br />distributions, Alameda CTC’s responsibilities, and the City’s responsibilities for revenues <br />collected from April 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016; and <br />WHEREAS, the MPFA between the City of San Leandro and the Alameda CTC is <br />presented to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof, and the City Manager <br />recommends approval of the MPFA. <br />NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 6/9/2015
