City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: June 15, 2015 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:15-205 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY:Keith Cooke <br />Engineering & Transportation Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION to Increase the Construction Contract Change Order Cap from <br />25% to 40% (from $331,337 to $530,140; a Change Order Cap Increase of <br />$198,803) for the Fiber Conduit for Broadband Network Project, Project No. <br />2013.03203, to Maximize the Expenditure of Available Economic <br />Development Agency Grant Funds, Project No. 2013.03203 <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro did, on July 7, 2014, award a construction <br />contract to Flatiron Electric Group, Inc. for the Fiber Conduit for Broadband Network project; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the cost to complete change order work will exceed the original Change <br />Order cap; and <br />WHEREAS, the project budget and associated grant funding is sufficient to <br />accommodate the increased Change Order costs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />The project Change Order Cap is increased to 40% for the Fiber Conduit for <br />Broadband Network Project, Project No. 2013.0320. <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 6/9/2015
