IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2015-118 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF A REPLACEMENT <br /> PUMPER FIRE TRUCK FROM PIERCE MANUFACTURING AND AUTHORIZING THE <br /> CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND <br /> OTHER DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO FINANCE THE ACQUISITION <br /> WHEREAS,the Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD), in serving as the City's fire <br /> department, needs to replace its existing fire apparatus; and <br /> WHEREAS, although the City contracts with the ACFD for fire services, all facilities and <br /> equipment, including fire trucks, are purchased and owned by the City; and. <br /> WHEREAS, the bid price by Pierce Manufacturing for the 2015 fire truck is not to <br /> exceed $530,000, which includes costs for inspection, delivery, and sales tax; and <br /> WHEREAS, Acquisition cost is provided in the City's 2015-16 Adopted Budget, account <br /> number 010-23-002-7510; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City proposes to purchase the fire engine by piggy-backing on the <br /> County bid to benefit from the County's bid process. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby resolves as <br /> follows: <br /> That the acquisition of a replacement pumper fire truck from Pierce Manufacturing is <br /> approved and the City Manager is authorized to execute the purchase agreement and other <br /> documents necessary to effect the acquisition. <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Cox and passed and adopted this 6th day of July, 2015, by <br /> the following vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Cox, Lee, Lopez, Prola, Reed, Thomas; Mayor Cutter (7) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> ABSENT: None (0) <br /> ATTEST: ►- <br /> Tamika Greenwood, City Clerk <br />
