IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 99 - 87 (1076) <br /> RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT CHANGES OR <br /> MODIFICATIONS TO THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, AND THE <br /> CALIFORNIA BUILDING CODE, 1998 EDITION, PERTAINING <br /> TO WEATHER PROTECTION FOR OUTDOOR STORAGE <br /> OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS,ARE REASONABLY <br /> NECESSARY BECAUSE OF LOCAL CONDITIONS <br /> Pursuant to Section 130 of the Charter of the City of San Leandro, this <br /> Council proposes to adopt by reference, the Uniform Building Code, 1997 Edition <br /> ("UBC") published by the International Conference of Building Officials as amended <br /> by the State of California in that document entitled "The California Building <br /> Standards Code." <br /> In connection with said adoption the Council desires to make changes or <br /> modifications. <br /> Section 17958.7 of the California Health and Safety Code requires the <br /> governing body of a city, before making any changes or modifications to the UBC, to <br /> make an express finding that such changes or modifications are reasonably necessary <br /> because of local climatic, geological or topographical conditions. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE <br /> as follows: <br /> 1.
