• <br /> 4. A fire department key box or switch is required and shall be shown (2013 <br /> California Fire Code Section 503.6.). Key boxes and switches may be ordered <br /> directly from the Knox Company at www.knoxbox.com. Manual Gate. Each <br /> manually operated gate that serves as a means of fire access shall have installed a <br /> Knox Key Box accessible from the entrance side of the gate. Where the locking <br /> method of the gate is by a chain a Knox padlock shall be installed on the chain. <br /> The key box door and necessary keys shall be provided to the fire inspector upon <br /> the final inspection. The inspector will then lock the keys into the box. The <br /> location of the key box shall be shown on the plans. Automatic Gates. All <br /> electrically controlled gates shall be provided with an emergency gate over-ride <br /> key switch for fire department access. The location of the over-ride key switch <br /> shall be shown on the plans. <br /> IV. GENERAL CONDTI'IONS <br /> A. The fence, gates, wall and columns shall be structurally sound and well maintained at <br /> all times; any damage to the fence, gates,wall and columns shall be promptly repaired. <br /> B. Existing irrigation system or landscape material damaged during the fence installation <br /> process shall be repaired and/or replaced. Additional landscape material shall be added <br /> in front of the new fencing in areas in which vegetation is sparse. <br /> C. Any graffiti on the property shall be promptly removed. <br /> D. No ribbon or barbed wire shall be installed on the fencing. <br /> E. The approvals granted by the City as a result of this application, as well as the <br /> Conditions of Approval, shall be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of <br /> Alameda County. <br /> F. No application for amendment of the application or Conditions of Approval may be <br /> accepted or submitted for processing by the City unless (i) there is full compliance <br /> with all terms of the application and Conditions of Approval; or (ii) the Community <br /> Development Director can waive compliance with the terms of the application if they <br /> are minor in content. <br /> G. Pursuant to Zoning Code Section 5-2218, this approval shall lapse on March 25, 2016 <br /> unless a) there is diligent progress evidencing a good faith intent to commence the <br /> intended use,or b)a written request for a one-year extension of the fence modification is <br /> approved by the Zoning Enforcement Official. <br /> Agreement to Conditions March 25,2015 <br /> PLN2015-00003 Page 5 of 5 <br />
