File Number: 15-413 <br />The equipment and associated installation and periodic maintenance services are essential in <br />maintaining operational continuity. The contractor has full knowledge of the existing system <br />and is sensitive to the City's security needs. The new equipment that proposed for installation <br />is compatible with the other components of the existing system. <br />Current Agency Policies <br />The City currently has a sole provider arrangement with Denalect Alarm Company for periodic <br />maintenance and inspection of fire alarms and life safety services. The City is permitted by <br />State law to sole source a particular material, product, thing or service that matches or is <br />currently in use in other City facilities under California Public Contract Code section 3400, and <br />by Section 1-6-315 of the San Leandro Municipal Code. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />This Building Maintenance Fund project will cost $82,112.00, which will be funded by <br />requesting a carryover of appropriated funds from fiscal year 2014-15 to 2015-16 in account <br />687-18-007-5242. <br />Budget Authority <br />Funding for this project was appropriated in fiscal year 2014-15, account 687-18-007-5242. <br />PREPARED BY: Jennifer Auletta, Deputy Public Works Director, Public Works Department <br />City of San Leandro Page 2 Printed on 7114/2015 <br />
