The policy shall provide for a monitoring <br /> mechanism to assure that all sub-recipients comply. <br /> (2) Within 120 days from execution of a VCA, the City will provide a copy of its <br /> policy to HUD in accordance with paragraph IV, below. <br /> B. Appointment of Section 504 Coordinator/s (24 CFR 8.53) <br /> (1) Within 90 days of execution of a VCA, the City will formally appoint one or <br /> more Section 504 Coordinators, each of whom may have distinct <br /> responsibilities (e.g.,physical accessibility,reasonable accommodations and <br /> grievances, other Section 504 programmatic matters). The City may continue <br /> to incorporate the functions of a Section 504 Coordinator and an ADA <br /> Coordinator. Prior to any such appointment, the City will ensure that each <br /> Section 504 Coordinator whom it appoints has necessary training in Section <br /> 504 rights and responsibilities such as will be necessary for him or her to <br /> effectively carry out his or her responsibilities in the assigned program area. <br /> (2) Within 120 days of execution of a VCA, the City will provide to HUD-FHEO <br /> in accordance with paragraph IV below copies of the designation letters <br /> appointing each of its Section 504 Coordinators. <br /> C. Adoption of Section 504 Grievance Policy(24 CFR 8.53) <br /> (1) Within 120 days of execution of a VCA, the City will amend its Complaint <br /> Procedure to conform with Section 504 requirements, to stipulate that it has <br /> adopted a grievance procedure that incorporates appropriate due process <br /> standards to provide for the prompt and equitable resolution of complaints <br /> filed by persons with disabilities in activities covered by Section 504, and by <br /> providing the name/s of its Section 504/ADA Coordinator/s, and by providing <br /> information that grievances may also be filed with state or federal agencies. <br /> (2)Within 210 days of execution of a VCA, the City will provide training to <br /> appropriate staff and sub-recipients on its Section 504 Grievance Procedure. <br /> (3)Within 120 days of execution of a VCA, the City will publish and post notices <br /> of its policy of non-discrimination on the basis of disability pursuant to 24 <br /> CFR 8.54. <br /> (4)Within 210 days of execution of a VCA, the City will provide to HUD-FHEO <br /> in accordance with paragraph IV below, a copy of its Section 504 Grievance <br /> Procedure, and information regarding the dates it trained its staff and sub- <br /> recipients on the policy, and a copy of its Section 504 notice, and a listing of <br /> the places where the notice has been posted and the dates of posting. <br /> CONCERNS <br /> D.
