Title 2, Chapter 18, Section 2-18-210 of the <br />San Leandro Municipal Code is amended to reflect a single access line temporary reduction <br />effective January 1, 2016 through January 1, 2020 to comply with the Local Prepaid Mobile <br />Telephony Services Collection Act (AB1717) and to read as follows: <br />“2-18-210 IMPOSITION OF EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION SYSTEM ACCESS <br />TAX <br />(c) Only one payment of the tax herein imposed shall be required for any access line, <br />trunk line, or super trunk line, notwithstanding that access lines of more than one service <br />supplier are used in furnishing local telephone service to a telephone subscriber. The Local <br />Prepaid Mobile Telephony Services Collection Act mandates that the Single Access Line Rate <br />for Emergency Communication System Access Tax for 911 Services be temporarily reduced <br />from $2.32 to $1.65.” <br />SECTION 2.SEVERABILITY. If any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, <br />sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance, or its application to any person or circumstance, <br />is for any reason held to be invalid or unenforceable, such invalidity or unenforceability shall <br />not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining sections, subsections, subdivisions, <br />paragraphs, sentences, clauses or phrases of this Ordinance, or its application to any other <br />person or circumstance. The City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby declares that it <br />would have adopted each section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, sentence, clause or <br />phrase hereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more other sections, subsections, <br />subdivisions, paragraphs, sentences, clauses or phrases hereof is declared invalid or <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 9/15/2015
