Battenberg discussed the use of a rainbow style design decorative (artistic) crosswalk on <br />the West Juana Pedestrian Improvements at the Clark and Juana intersection. The <br />Committee proposed that the decorative crosswalk design be reviewed by the Arts <br />Commission and/or Council. Councilmember Reed would like to see a consistent pattern <br />throughout City. She is open to incorporating rainbow colors in the existing wagon wheel <br />pattern instead of a new pattern entirely. <br />The Committee recommends researching the design options for rainbow color for the new <br />wagon wheel pattern or traditional pattern at the crosswalks. The idea will be revisited at the <br />first Council meeting in September. <br />Concrete work begins in early part of August 2015, and takes ten weeks to complete. The <br />project is anticipated to end by the latter part of October 2015. There is time to decide on the <br />crosswalk since the crosswalks are installed at the end of the project. <br />2.D. 15-429 Discussion Regarding Future Facilities and Transportation Committee <br />Meeting Dates and Times - <br />The Facilities meetings will remain on the first Tuesday of every month, but the new meeting <br />time will be at 5:00 PM beginning with the meeting on October 6, 2015. <br />2.E. 15-430 Discussion Regarding Future Agenda Items - <br />K.
