IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2015-172 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE EXPLORATORIUM FOR THE DESIGN AND INSTALLATION OF AN INTERACTIVE EXHIBIT IN JOAQUIN PLAZA WHEREAS,the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development awarded the City of San Leandro a Parks Program Grant in the amount of $1,376,600; and WHEREAS,per the City's Standard Agreement with the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development, the City is authorized to use its grant award to create a science-based innovative and interactive art exhibit at Joaquin Plaza in downtown San Leandro; and WHEREAS, a draft agreement between the City of San Leandro and The Exploratorium to design, construct and commission the art exhibit is presented to this City Council; and WHEREAS,the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. NOW, THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That the expenditure of$235,000 in grant funds received from the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development is authorized from Fiscal Year 2015-16 Account Number 122-38-362; and That said agreement substantially in the form presented is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and That the City Manager is authorized to make non-substantial revisions to said agreement, subject to the approval of the City Attorney; and That an original executed agreement shall be attached to and made a part of this resolution. *****
