<br />Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and Towill, Inc. <br />for WPCP AC Pavement Rehabilitation Exhibit A – Page 1 of 3 <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />Project Description: <br />The City has a project to replace approximately 12,300 square yards of AC pavement at the Water Pollution <br />Control Plant (WPCP) at 3000 Davis St, San Leandro, CA. Work will include new aggregate base as well <br />regrading required to improve storm drainage and transitions to existing improvements. <br /> <br />Additionally, the City has a project to create an equipment pad by partially filling an old polishing pond with <br />earth that is currently stockpiled on site. <br /> <br />Finally, the City is interested in documenting existing topography and grades on the north side of the slough <br />that connects Davis Street with the San Francisco Bay for the purpose of determining work necessary to <br />reduce the risk of Bay water overtopping the bank of the slough. <br /> <br />Scope of Work: <br />The Consultant shall prepare a topographic survey that will facilitate design of the new pavement, document <br />the volume of soil in the stockpile, and document the height, width, and location of existing improvements along <br />a portion of the north side of the slough. Areas to be surveyed are shown in figure 1. <br /> <br />The Consultant’s scope of work includes the following tasks: <br /> <br /> Task 1 – Preparatory Work <br /> <br />1) Review City provided information and attend an initial meeting with City staff in person or by phone <br />to verify scope of work and project approach and to review any modifications that may result in cost <br />saving. <br /> <br />2) Perform an overall site visit prior to start of work. <br /> <br />3) Perform general project administration. <br /> <br />Task 2 – Topographic Mapping <br /> <br />1) Measure topographic features such as top and toes of slopes, grade breaks and at intervals of <br />approximately 25 feet. <br /> <br />2) Measure features within the project area such as curbs, walks, driveways, structures, trees, edges <br />of pavement, edges of slabs, and high and low points. <br /> <br />3) Measure all utility structures within the project areas such as poles, manholes, catch basins, vaults, <br />valves, meters, process facilities, and fire hydrants. <br /> <br />4) Provide underground field utility locating services for area of AC paving. Three 8-hours days are <br />included for this task.
