These special differentials will no longer be paid to employees upon <br />ratification of this contract. <br /> <br /> For the period of time that Police Service Aide, Public Safety Dispatcher and Police Service <br />Technician are assigned to work in a training capacity, he/she shall receive an additional <br />twenty-five dollars ($25.00) a day pay differential. <br /> <br />20.3 Uniforms <br /> <br /> The City will provide uniforms to employees required by the City to be "uniformed" in the <br />Public Works and Community Development departments. Classifications required to be <br />uniformed shall be determined by the department. These uniforms may consist of shirts, <br />sweatshirts, pants and jackets that are ready substitute for personal attire the employee would <br />otherwise have to purchase, excluding items that are solely for personal health and safety. The <br />monetary value associated with the City-provided uniforms shall be determined by the <br />department and reported to CalPERS as special compensation for Classic members of PERS. <br /> <br /> Full-time Administrative Specialists-Police, Public Safety Dispatch Supervisors, Senior Public <br />Safety Dispatchers, Public Safety Dispatchers, Senior Police Service Technicians, Police <br />Service Technicians, and Police Services Aides who are required to maintain uniforms shall be <br />allowed a uniform allowance of seven hundred dollars ($700.00). Payment shall be made on a <br />pay period basis. <br /> <br />Section 21. Layoff <br /> <br /> The parties are in accord that the following provisions supplement and clarify language <br />included in the current Memorandum of Understanding between the City Of San Leandro and <br />the IFPTE, Local 21 and the Personnel Rules covering layoffs. It is understood that only the <br />employee groups defined below possess the referenced layoff rights. Prior to the layoff of any <br />full-time or permanent part-time employees, hourly, part-time and/or temporary employees <br />within the same classification, will be released. <br /> <br />Definitions <br /> <br /> Permanent Part-time Employees: Hourly employees working a fixed-weekly schedule for a <br />minimum of 1,000 hours a fiscal year for two consecutive fiscal years. <br /> <br /> Full-time Employees: Regular hourly employees scheduled to work 2080 hours in a fiscal year. <br /> <br />Special Considerations <br /> <br /> Layoffs will be conducted by classification in the following order: “Permanent part-time” <br />employees and then full-time employees. <br />17
