<br /> <br />INTERNAL SERVICE FUNDS <br /> <br /> <br />Internal Service Funds are used to account for special activities and services performed by a designated <br />City department for other departments on a cost reimbursement basis. <br /> <br />Building Maintenance – This fund accounts for the City’s custodial maintenance and minor building <br />modifications performed on various City complexes. The source of revenue is reimbursement of costs for <br />services performed to the departments. <br /> <br />Information Management Services – The fund accounts for centralized data processing and the <br />maintenance, acquisition and replacement of computerized systems. Sources of revenue for this fund are <br />reimbursement of costs for services and equipment purchased by other departments. <br /> <br />Self Insurance – This fund accounts for the administration of the City’s self-insurance programs, <br />payment of worker’s compensation and liability claims payments. <br /> <br />Equipment Maintenance – This fund accounts for the maintenance and replacement of vehicles and <br />equipment used by all City departments. Source of revenues for this fund is reimbursement of costs for <br />services and supplies purchased by other departments. <br />132
