the work within five (5) working days or as agreed to between the Contractor and <br /> the City. <br /> The Contractor shall do such extra work in accordance with the agreement for <br /> extra work and with the provisions of these specifications and shall furnish all labor, <br /> materials and equipment. Any extra work shall be performed in a manner and <br /> time that does not negate the normal contracted work and schedule. The City <br /> reserves the right to have other contractors perform extra work. Irrigation repairs <br /> performed as extra work must meet the City irrigations standards. All requests for <br /> extra irrigation work must be performed within 48 hours. If the work is not performed <br /> within 48 hours the repair cost may be withheld from the monthly payments. <br /> Payment for extra work performed shall be as agreed to by the Contractor and <br /> the City and as bid. Compensation for material will not exceed Contractor cost <br /> plus 10%. Contractor must provide invoice copies to be compensated for material <br /> and must provide employee timesheets in order to be compensated for labor at <br /> the extra work rate. <br /> The City may choose to have the contractor perform the extra work at the Hourly <br /> Rate for Extra work listed after Attachment 6 under special notes. <br /> Other <br /> The Contractor shall be responsible for any and all damage to surface and <br /> underground improvements due to the Contractor's operations on or adjacent to <br /> parcels upon which landscape maintenance and weed abatement work is <br /> performed. <br /> Specification Interpretation - Should any misunderstanding arise, the City will <br /> interpret the Specifications. <br /> RFP 55026 CITYWIDE MEDIAN MAINTENANCE Page 54 of 75 <br />
