File Number: 16-166 <br />The TDA funds will be used to install the following: disabled access ramps and sidewalks at <br />various locations citywide. The work will be completed as part of the City’s Annual Sidewalk <br />Repair (Project 2017-0060). The end result is a more accessible City. <br />Previous Actions <br />·The City Council annually authorizes staff to apply for these funds <br />·On May 4, 2015, by Resolution No. 2015-089, the City Council authorized the filing of a <br />claim with the MTC for allocation of TDA Article 3 funds for FY 2015-16 <br />Applicable General Plan Policies <br />This project is consistent with the Bicycle and Pedestrian Goal (14) of the 2015 General Plan <br />and Action 14.07-B: Pedestrian and Bicycle Crossing Improvements. <br />Board/Commission Review and Actions <br />The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee is scheduled to review and approve the <br />proposed project at their next meeting. This approval is required by MTC for the use of TDA <br />funds. <br />Environmental Review <br />The work to be performed is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality <br />Act according to Public Resources Code §21084 and CEQA Guidelines Article 19, Section <br />15301 “Existing Facilities.” <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />$72,426 is the amount of TDA grant funds the City is allocated in FY 2016-17, and there is no <br />required local match. Grant funds will need to be appropriated and will be reimbursed once all <br />of the spending is complete. <br />Budget Authority <br />$60,000 is the amount of TDA grant funding appropriated in the adopted biennial budget for <br />Project 2017-0060 (Fund 150-36-006).
