PE.AMI LIGHTING MANAGEMENT NODE
Product Sheet
THE PE.AMI LIGHTING MANAGEMENT NODE
The PE.AMI Lighting Management Node connected to the light point collects information and communicates with the PE.AMI
Gateway forwarding data, receiving commandsand executing them to control the light point. External and internal versions are
available. Light sensors, vehicle counters, and other devices can also be connected to the Node, to implement additional applica-
tions and tailored lighting models. It performs SubGHz radio communication, is based on 6LoWPAN protocol and
uses IPv6 addressing.
FEATURES
The PE.AMI Lighting Management Node is one of the hardware tomo
rents of the PE.AMI Lighting Management solution - one of the vertical
applications of PE.All the first integrated ultra-low power IPv616LowPAN
wireless and PLC full mesh multi -application narrowbandlbroad band net-
work platform by Paradox Engineering.
PE.AMI Lighting Management Nodes connect to luminaires, collect and
forward information to PE.AMI Gateways, receive commands and execute
them to control the luminaire. The design of the Nodes provides a self -
built widespread IPv616LoWPAN based network and a highly se-
cure communication infrastructure which can be used for all bidi-
rectional data transmission.
PE.AMI Lighting Management Nodes exist both as wireless and hy-
brid wireless/PLC devices. Among the first companies in the world
to introduce this innovative feature, with hybrid Nodes Paradox Engineer-
ing adds seamless PLC capabilities to its state of the art wireless network
technologies: while offering subil RF transmission, the hybrid Node can
also interface power Fines and transfer data over the grid so to
reach groups of end points where RF transmission might not represent the
preferable way to reach the luminalre. The same 6LoWPAN protocol is
leveraged both in wired and wireless communications.
PE. AMI Lighting Management Nodesalso hold comprehensive event logger
and scheduler, with a high degree of data security, and feature an embed-
ded astronomical clock, managing local celestial events such as sunrise and
sunset based on geographical coordinates. A Real Time Clock is also includ-
ed.
Along with the different kinds of lamps and digital ballasts available on
the market, two different series of PE.AMI Lighting Management Nodes
are available:
• with on-off interface
• with dimming interface through analogue 0-10 volt, PWM and digital
DALI (directly controlling any electronic ballast installed or installable
into luminaires and any digital driver compliant with these light meth-
ods and protocols).
7+e?FAlell digY; iirrg P."erragc,,,t•i „ci'.rvure
HrhnawimesslPLc
hdemsnorN.
78e Pr'A!Yi Lrc Isar L7anaufnewsr
rtod rrern,;i yerr?n
'd✓'.+L::Ohriox,. Traditional light devices
without dimming capabilitles (HPS, mer-
cury -vapour) as well as new LED technol-
ogy are controlled
0 Output control channels dimming - digi-
tal DALI, analogue 0-10V Interfaces - and
simple on/off switching
• Manage specific conditions for onloff
and dimming functions: combinations of
time, measured light levels (from light
metering devices), daily solar event
times, changing local circumstances/
events, day of week variations for given
groups
• Execute up to 16 scheduled commands
based on the integrated real time clock
(RTC), the embedded astronomical calen-
dar and Node coordinates
• Detect and report lamp failures by set-
ting alarm profiles (eg, lamp failures,
upon pre-set consumption thresholds)
• Report on and off times, main supply and
lamp electrical parameters (including
power factor) upon pre-set monitoring
schedules or on demand by polling units;
active & reactive power and energy, volt-
age and current RMS values as well as
grid frequency (embedded electricity
meter)
• Ensure operations for up to 5 days off
grid power thanks to the embedded
super capacitor
• Manage connected motion or light sen-
sors, vehicle traffic counters, external
alarms and other devices.
(PPARADX
ENGINEERING
PJM 1NLTHFVIWFOF
