File Number: 16-184 <br />Previous Actions <br />·On May 20, 2013 by Resolution No. 2013-066, the City Council executed a Program <br />Supplement Agreement to receive federal funds for this project. <br />·On June 15, 2015 by Resolution No. 2015-109, the City Council awarded a contract for <br />construction of the work to Columbia Electric, Inc. <br />Applicable General Plan Policies <br />·This action is consistent with Streets and Highway Goal No. 16 of the General Plan and <br />Action Item 16.03-A: Funding for Maintenance. <br />·This action is consistent with Traffic Safety Goal No. 18 of the General Plan and Action <br />Item 18-02. <br />Environmental Review <br />This project was deemed categorically exempt from CEQA per Section 15301(c) - Existing <br />Facilities. A Notice of Exemption was filed with the County Recorder on May 5, 2015. <br />Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br />The bidding opportunity for this project was advertised in the Daily Review as well as in three <br />other newspapers whose circulation reflects the diversity of San Leandro. Properties adjacent <br />to the work received door hangers during construction with the construction schedule and <br />project staff contact information. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />A summary of the construction contract with Columbia Electric, Inc. is below: <br />Original Contract $269,441.00 <br />Change Orders $ 0.00 <br />Total Contract Amount $269,441.00 <br />The total cost of this project was $399,694.00, including design and construction <br />administration. <br />Budget Authority <br />The project was funded as follows: <br />·Federal Grant funds (allocated in FY 2011- <br />12)150-28-190 $373,300.00 <br />·DFSI funds (allocated in FY 2011-12) <br />120-28-190 $41,532.00 <br />Approximately $15,000 in unspent funds from the Development Fees for Street Improvements <br />(DFSI) fund will be returned to fund balance and made available for other projects. <br />Page 2 City of San Leandro Printed on 5/10/2016
