Kelly has <br />more than seven years of experience designing and analyzing new <br />construction of commercial buildings and tenant improvement <br />projects. For the past 18 months, Kelly worked with the City of <br />Walnut Creek performing plan reviews of commercial and <br />residential projects for code compliance with state building codes <br />and design standards. Kelly is familiar with design and review of a <br />diverse range of project types including hospitals, medical office <br />buildings, senior care facilities, retail, education, single and multi‐ <br />family residential housing, and commercial buildings. <br /> <br />Select Professional Experience <br /> <br />4LEAF, Inc. <br />Structural Engineer / Plans Examiner <br />2014 ‐ Present <br />Kelly recently joined 4LEAF in November of 2014 as a Structural Engineer and Plans Examiner <br />in our Pleasanton office. Kelly is tasked with the performance of plan review for all of 4LEAF’s <br />plan review clientele and will assist in the development of 4LEAF’s Structural Engineers and <br />Non‐structural review staff. <br /> <br />City of Walnut Creek, CA <br />Structural Engineer / Plans Examiner <br />July 2013 – November, 2014 <br />Kelly worked for the City of Walnut Creek for approximately 18 months where she was <br />responsible for reviewing drawings and documents submitted to obtaining building permits for <br />conformance with the California Building Standards Code (Title 24 of the California Code of <br />Regulations), structural design standards, and local municipal code. Kelly also reviewed life‐ <br />safety, structural design, accessibility, energy standards, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and <br />green building. In addition, Kelly also worked the Public Counter performing reviews of tenant <br />improvements and answering code‐specific questions from architects, engineers, contractors, <br />and homeowners.
